The story itself is just wholly original – do not be deceived by the summary on the book jacket. The omniscient narrator and descriptive voice sets the story up as a traditional fairytale. I’m not really one for writing reviews, but I am one for rambling at length about stories I love, so it’s time for a ramble about this amazing trilogy.įrom the first book, The Bear and the Nightingale, I knew right away I would like it based on narration style alone. Excellent finale, excellent series, highly recommended. I finished the final book in the Winternight trilogy today, The Winter of the Witch.
